~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The entire stone-tiled church floor began to react with that bellowing laughter the crazed poltergeist emitted, buckling, shifting, making it look like the slabs of stone were bending and contorting like sheets of jello. Subtle at first, but with the shuddering shift in the flooring, came a series of crunches and snaps, portions of the ceiling were being put through their paces.
Pith was already laying the battlefield in his favor, debris moved in strange manners, raining, swirling, taking on its own trajectory to prevent either of his attackers from moving in close or pulling off a clear shot. Blaze unleashed blast after fiery blast, but each time striking at Pith’s unpredictable walls of flying debris. Green fought to bash and push through most of the flying wreckage, but each step forward, Pith merely blew her back with heavier clumps of junk and stone.
Blaze was the only means of a good projectile attack, which made him the first target of Pith’s vicious reach, allowing his touch to grasp to the fiery fighter’s cerebrum, grinning insidiously as he fought to influence Blaze, wanting him to believe he might be losing control of his flame oriented powers, drawing closer to spontaneously combusting. Yet, Blaze was fighting it tooth and nail, raking at part of his forehead with an agonizing growl.
All the while Green was making her leap, putting those bunny legs to good use bounding from one piece of floating debris to the next, from pew, to swirling slabs of rocky chunks, she was pushing to close the distance on Pith whilst his focus was elsewhere.
And here we have the third picture out of four.
I admit when I first had seen it in its rough ‘work-in-progress’ phase, I was worried the motion of Green’s running might come out looking a bit unusual. Though it actually looks pretty interesting in its completed stage, the only thing that might have helped it a little would have been some more speed blur effects. But it still looks speedy and cool. And I have to thank the artist because I can bet the background on this shot was probably a good bit time-consuming. But it all came out pretty good, and hope this didn’t drive em’ up the wall with frustration when they were drawing it all out.
Thank you
However, even though Greenie looks amply fit enough to do some good ole' sprinting, its far from her strong point. Those legs are best suited for serious leaps and bounds, not running top notch. She'd do poorly in long meter dashes and marathons more than likely.
