The birds fell silent, the animals hid in all directions, and only the midge only increased its vile presence. Therefore, there was almost deathly silence on the street, even the wind did not dare to move the branches of the trees that sheltered a tiny town in its coolness, notable for the fact that many houses in it were inside living trees, making it like a kind of exhibition of arboarchitecture. Many of its inhabitants managed not only to wake up and work, but also to go for a siesta. However, there were those who preferred to soak up the bed longer. So for the residents in one of the houses located on the very outskirts, the morning was just beginning. The guy and the girl there, not yet dressed after waking up, were sitting at the window overlooking the mountain valley and the lake. The girl was alarmed by something and her companion reassured her.


"I understand... But why be so upset, Ranara? After all, dreams are just dreams."

Usually, when you have a nightmare, you wake up, but nothing like that, I seemed to be stuck in this horror, bogged down like in a swamp! And the best thing there... there you were and... and. “Well, there you were, and… and something terrible, I can’t even really remember, but it was all-encompassing, it seemed to be devouring the world, and you at the same time, or you were the one that devoured the world, or both. God, I can't even understand! - she covered her face with her hands, pulled her knees to her body and huddled quietly crying.
The guy put his hand on her shoulder - "Ranara, don't be afraid, now everything is fine with us. You see" - the guy pointed out the window, then made a circular motion with his hand, showing the whole room - "Everything is fine. I think we should get dressed and go for a walk now, but first, breakfast, what do you want to cook?"
- "Maybe I'm better? Otherwise, you will cook! Remember how you burned the scrambled eggs?" Ranara chuckled softly.
