Although Ethan wasn't popular with most women in his country he had a devotion to his father to become a high ranking military leader when he was little. After some years and his older brother followed their father's footsteps he decided to become a foot soldier and work his way up there.
Ethan trained with a Dark Elf priest who was one of the Dark Maiden's chosen and trained with her with swordsmanship, though Ethan preferred the Greatsword and the bastard sword she always beat him in training.
-Over time Ethan began to have feelings toward her but did his best to focus on training, Eilwynn was over 115 years old she believed training Ethan as a spoiled brat of a Nobles general she had to train, and she began to see Ethan's determination and kindness peak though. Ethan is a new Lycanborn race and didn't allow that to define him doing his best to help others in need when he could.
-Well, on the final day of Ethan's training They both went at each other with swords to determine if Ethan managed to progress to be equal to Eilwynn, people gathered and thought it was a "Proposal by Combat" Which is a form of a proposal for marriage. In the end yes he won but by some fur, and soon rumours spread Ethan proposed to a Maiden of the Dark Maidens. Ethan tried to explain but the rumours were spread.

-It was at this time Loretta being Princess of the sky who has defeated many suiters and refused any proposals from most who heard of Ethan defeating a maiden of the Dark Maiden decided to see this "wolfman" herself. At first, she saw him as a fun way to pass time taking his arm one day and asking if he would marry her, with a shocking reply of "Sorry I can't". In a way, Lora has never been refused before and well she decided on a "Proposal by combat" which again Ethan admitted he would lose and he wouldn't be worth much to her. Also at the time Eilwynn start to see interest in him and believed that maybe its what the Dark maiden wanted, and soon Ethan and Eilwynn went on a few dates with Lora crashing them and trying to claim him. Ethan did his best to converse that She is the Princess of the sky and even though Ethan was Noble's general son, he wouldn't be of any worth to her besides a man on her arm and that's it.

Loretta is quite shocked at how a man refused her but didn't see he was even worth much to be with her other than a man on her arm.
Since this story is getting quite long The most part Loretta became jealous of Eilwynn and tried many times combat to claim Ethan. Though Eilwynn wasn't a match for her she came up with the compromise to share Ethan. Dates and all. Ethan now has an entire Chruch and Dragon Father in law who both disliked him they finally married and had two kids with them.
