Poor Kyle, he just wanted to show Ginger his most gentle and caring side, but mom Pam like an hurricane does put a barrier between them. At least he was able to help her with the books and steal a small giggle to Ginger! 😊✌
In any case, the last panel makes me wonder if Pam after all doesn't mind to let Kyle meet again her sweet daughter. We will see in the future hehe. 😉

Oh i have well focused in my mind Pam's understandable behavior and why she's always hyper cautious with strangers. She might have overreacted yes, but was done for maternal purpose and huge love for her precious daughter. Just... poor Kyle to be the one who by chance found himself in the middle of this strong relationship between mom-daughter hehe 😆
