So, this was a bit of a fun one. The inspiration for this armor was the armor worn by Lu Bu in one of the Dynasty Warrior games, so little ol me had to update it. Keeping such a suit reasonably practical while still being showy as all hell, in a very old-school japanese way was certainly a challenge, to be honest, and I actually went through several redesigns til I got this.
One of these days I'm gonna have to post a refined version of my own suit. I really do love designing these things.

I was thinking of the Cyclone Assault system from Robotech or maybe the Elemental powerarmor from Battletech (the two are unrelated aside from some name-related drama a few years back) when I saw this, but I guess there are a lot of Warhammer 40k similarities there too.

HOWEVER.
This picture is righteous, and the dude pictured is a SEVERE motherfucker. High-disruption Arc-Halberd?! You'd need cybernetic strength enhancers just to not DROP the damn thing!
Plus rocket launchers. Everything is awesome with rocket launchers <3

That beer bottle thing in the description immediately reminded me of that Tooheys New ad where blokes open beers with their bodies and a hot chick who's in their group makes it look like she opens one with her vag (from the feel of it) but it's actually her belly button.

Wow...I can only imagince what you'd do with the 'Fenris' class armor I've been contemplaying for my fictional anthro army. Or heck, the recon assualt bikes the scout team uses. As ornamental as this is, it only takes a cursory look to know that it's also quite practical. The exhaust vent at the back of the micro missle launcher is a nice touch of detail. That's also a wicked looking headpiece. One of these days, when I have a job and money, I'll be sure to get a few military pieces from you, as you are the best artist at it htat I've seen, especially for furry military. That is, so long as you're still around and taking commissions (job hunt hasn't been going well).
See now, I knew it was Lu Bu right off the bat, but with the power halberd and what looks like a storm bolter on its arm, I can't help but be reminded of a Grey Knight. And that just makes me think of Lu Bu as a Grey Knight, and THAT makes me shudder in a very uncomfortable way...
The love of armour really shows in the sheer ammount of detail in this. I love how it both looks traditional and functional. Mission accomplished there, heh.
I'd love to see what you'd do with some of my (less talented) armour designs. Sadly I dont think ym budget'd stretch for commisions atm, and scrounging for art feels a little lame when I really should get off my damn butt and practice more myself XD

AWESOME!! EYE CATCHING!! REALLY COOL!!! Love the little Japanese details you worked in, the braided cord look of the material between the shoulder and chest plates and the stylized flower pattern on the shoulder and thigh "greaves". What does a High disruption Arc-halberd do exactly? Projects energy blasts, can cut through force fields, produces a highly localized E-M pulse?
