Unfortunately, I suppose it was a bit too much to ask to be able to make it the entire night without having to deal with any trainers. As we get close to the entrance of the town we end up running into a kid, using the time running around trying to spur up trouble with the pokemon to help train his. I don’t have any real impulse regarding him right now, which I guess is one kind of blessing. I can only imagine how annoying it’d be if I felt compelled to fight every trainer I ran across. Not entirely sure that she would have programmed that in there or not or if she could. I mean, a compulsion to fight would help it spread, but it would have also likely resulted in me being unable to escape. I try to see if we can’t slip past him but apparently Maria has a different thought in mind as she moves in close and carefully removes my harness before nudging me enough that he can see me.

“Look! It’s a vulpix!” the kid shouts at me as if speaking to someone else or that I somehow didn’t know what I was.

“Really?” I look over at Maria with a bit of a scowl.
