Coming from a place where all buildings are stone, I can tell you, they do not require heat year round, not at all. Maybe if you have no windows at all, and some very strange roof that somehow keeps the warmth out, but otherwise not at all. (I wish it would during summer though, and we don't get triple digit temperatures, not even in that silly Fahrenheit system :-P )
Shani's expression in the last panel indicates that she is less upset; that's an improvement. Also, I must say that the Nordic look that the interior of that cabin has is not only great but it looks cozy too. And finally, I must also say that this (kinda) cute, lovely and funny; amazing page and amazing work by the way. :3
Mostly just grumpy, I imagine.
Once they get a nice fire going, a hot cup of tea, and dinner properly on the way, She might just relax enough for the two of them to enjoy the night.
