Destiny is starting to question her body while looking in the mirror. She wonders when her adult feathers will come in, if they ever will...
I've been thinking for a while now on how to justify Destiny's appearance. Despite her being a peregrine falcon, she looks more like a golden eagle, or a crossbred falcon at best. I like her as a juvenile or sub-adult falcon, she's got the personality of a young and restless teenager and the looks match to that too.
I also had the idea of her having a genetic defect which will only allow her to regrow juvenile feathers during her yearly moult, making her never look like an adult, no matter how old she gets. Can have its benefits, but also its issues.
Maybe a little more patience will help, perhaps she's just a late bloomer. If not, maybe she should have a doc check it out. Or ask her parents about growing up.
