The interface for ordering our burgers is actually really neat all things considered. This is the first time I’ve seen something like this too. There’s a fairly large pad compared to my size with a paw print above it. I place one of my paws on it and I can see the pad go red for a moment, likely scanning me and then after thinking for a moment the display above it shows what it suggests based on my species. And apparently vulpixes tend to like food on the spicier end since it’s asking if I want to substitute ghost pepper or just habanero in the sauce. But it’s his dollar and this is a special occasion so I opt to see just how this body handles the spicier things, and if he’ll be suffering the consequences on the other end or not. There are a few other features on it but once I’m satisfied I have Maria take out my credit card and then place it onto the counter. A human grabs it and then a moment later passes it back through. That done I step aside and let Maria take her turn at choosing something to get and I decide I might as well take over the job of watching us to make sure nothing goes wrong. There are a few pokemon that seem to be flexing at my gaze as if trying to impress me but so far all just seem to be waiting patiently. Once Maria’s done paying, I can feel her opening the pouch in my harness again and putting it back in. Time for our newest guest to get theirs. At this point I’m mostly just looking to see where it would be best to sit while waiting. Since we came in together, they should deliver them together.
