The mysterious watcher in the dark, only ever speaking through pre-recorded messages and a distorted voice, shrouded in shadow and secrets alike. Who are they? Why have they taken the time, effort, and money to create a team of top-grade mercenaries? And can they really be trusted?
This was a sort of bonus thing I did for my team as part of their Mutants and Masterminds game set in the worlds I hope to animate proper. It gave me a good chance to explore some techniques to play with in Underlings down the road (up to and including that sort of staticky effect), so that's always a plus.
