Reporting from Casa Del Nick, it's time for D-Buckets' D-Tails! I got a few e-mails from people asking me what in the world a "d-vulgement" was and why I used that word. Well, I was trying to be cute, but then I realized that "D-Tails" just rolls off the tounge better. Plus, most of us have tails, so it makes sense!
Man, what a great first two games. I got some pretty crummy looks on inside shots in the game against Lorain. Then again, most probably would; their frontcourt is like three trees. Furry mink trees. Once I moved to the outside, though, the looks became a lot clearer. It felt great knocking down those treys. The first basket I made was an open three from the top of the arc. At first I couldn't believe that I was dead open like that, but then the basketball took over and I took the shot. The "swish" of the net told me everything was going to be all right. A few more treys later, I knew everything was all right! I belonged! I was a pro!
The first win was really great. A real team effort. We scored a bunch, kept the lead and didn't let it slip or get away. That's what you do with the rock, everyone.
Against Pittsburgh, I had to come in early and help the President out. But it was a chore to guard Baylor. That dude knows what he's doing. Took me and Yellow Dog together just to hold the position afloat a bit.
Gilbert Exen... I didn't know whether I should have laughed because of that dude's voice or cried, because that tail shot of his killed us in the second. Ergh, that voice... it's like scraping claws on a chalkboard and mike feedback right next to your ears!
Sweetster and Baylor went to town too in that second quarter... it was awful. And Coach let us know exactly how awful it was when we got into the locker room. I won't go into any details, but we got the message. Loud and clear.
It took playing them to a stalemate in the third, but I could see that the Keystones were getting tired near the end of it. We were talking about it amongst ourselves in the bench. Ebony said this is our chance. "Ganaremos, ganaremos. We'll win, we've got them," he said. I almost didn't believe him for a second, but then I realized there was always a shot to come back. I should have known better.
We got it to three thanks to Vera and we set up a little triangle motion action. I lost Baylor, who looked to be pretty winded and got over to the right corner and got the ball from Ruby. I had the space, I fired. Bam. The place exploded.
It wasn't decided until Ruby's shot later, but that was still one freaky shot. Not only did she get it up enough to get it over Day, but she got it to go right in the hoop. Vixen has crazy talent.
We're leaving for Newark tomorrow. Hopefully we can make it three in a row there. So peace out, y'all.

Amazing shots you've taken, D, especially with Baylor! Keep it up.
I don't know what the buzz with Gex's voice is. It's not THAT bad. But it could be because of my ears used to a lot more noise that he just passes by. (I've been in a lot of loud places!)
Looking forward to Newark's game...you can keep it up! Bring Williamsburg back to the playoffs and get a trophy, k! :D
