Jackie Duglan
A 4-armed dragon that is as effortlessly cool as the shadows he was born from. He plays a mean two-necked guitar and always has what you need.
Jackie is a second generation Transylvanian immigrant, born to a pair of shadow dragons who came to America to escape the ravages of Wizard War 2. He was very young when his family came over, so he doesn't remember much about his home. His family runs a confectioners shop called Dark Chocolate (Because they're shadow dragons), and they always bring him free candy.
Jackie follows the Rule of Cool to the letter. He has to do everything in the coolest way possible, even if that makes it infinitely more complicated. It's a painful road, but only the coolest people can walk it, and Jackie is happy to be part of that exclusive club. He always wears a leather jacket and sunglasses, no matter how warm or dark it is.
Despite being relatively new in town, Jackie knows all the coolest people and all the sweetest hangs. He knows where to get just about anywhere, even things from out of town, and he always seems to have just the thing you need just when you need it.
Jackie is the lead guiarist of his own band, and there are rumors saying that he might have been summoned to play for SNEEBS, that weird culty band that plays regularly at the Shaker. But that's got to be heresay, there's got to be at leas 2 4-armed dragons in this jerkwater town, right?
Jackie first met Casey when he went to the record store Casey worked at. Casey could tell how hard he was trying to look cool, but it was a slow day, so the two of them talked for hours about music. Casey managed to catch him playing live at the Shaker with his band, and he looked so much cooler when he wasn't trying so hard.
Jackie knows that Casey knows cool, so he knew he was in for a treat when he got Casey's letter about showing him something cool.
That is, until Casey turned up dead.
