Another member of the supporting cast of characters for my L5R Samurai, Bayushi Tajima. Here we have Mai, a graceful dancer met at a Sake House in the Crane territories. After some consultation with both Mai as well as his mother, Bayushi Fuyuko, it was decided that Tajima would be allowed to offer Patronage to Mai and to have them accompany him back to Scorpion lands to serve as both a consort as well as a Handmaiden to his future wife.

I've always made the assumption that Mai is likely something of a flirt, utterly sassy and conniving in their own way, but has truly come to care for their Lord and to be there to allow him to unburden himself of his woes and 'frustrations'.
