Okay, Tola is back, safe and sound. We've been losing a lot of time, we really need to get started tracking down that book. Each day makes the trail that much colder! It looks like that trail is going to have more surprises than we counted on, though... Do these count as "old friends" or "new friends"?
This chapter is 6177 words, which is exactly one word shorter than the previous chapter, by coincidence. It also puts Book 2 at juuuust shy of 60k words. I have to admit, even though I'd been calling it "Book 2", I wasn't sure if it would truly last as long as Book 1, but it certainly looks like it's going to be in that neighborhood, doesn't it? Hopefully it's a good ride to be along for, at least for a reader's perspective.

Well, there's probably not any more around, right? Hoodie Guy just guessed the runes he knew. And that wind magic tome came from Amazon. And the guy obsessed with castles was just some guy who really liked castles. (Actually, that was a real guy, so he's not going to show up as a character. Also, I think I saw that he was alive in the 1880-1940 area, but I'd have to look it up again to make sure. Then again, he could've gone the lich route and gone into hiding, hmm... ^.^;; )
