More painting practice.
I'm not certain of the size and will not be able to measure it until it's finished blotting. It's done in acrylic. I started with a grisaille and went over it with blue glaze and then added more white for the warmer glow.
I used a lot of indirect reference for this one, studying photos, and still managed to get a lot incorrect. I've discovered that painting (and art making in general) is very much a matter of striving for a goal, failing, heaving a sigh and saying: I'll get what I want next time. You never do get exactly what you want, but at least you get better.

What you said about art is extremely true, but it's fun evolving in a process and seeing how far you've come with it. :)
I think you dis very well with this, especially with working with a (seemingly) few amount of colors. You also conveyed an emotion here that I can't quite seem to put my finger on.
