The notion of therianthropy (non-human animal form) in my comics is that when infected (whether by Lycanthropy [Wolf] or Arkoudanthropy [Bear], etcetera), the person infected changes in ways relevant to their infection. They might be hairier, stronger, leaner, faster, more athletic and agile, or take on social traits akin to the animal.
Orsus being a werebear shows some of those traits even in human form—and having highlander genetics, is also predisposed to be larger and stronger. So yeah...Orsus shifting to werebear form? Definitely some mass there...!
And fur. Lots of fur. I showed Orsus briefly in another comic in his werebear form, and he's a giant fuzz ball, LOL. I'm thinking if he shows up again, I'll trim the fur and make his muscles/mass a bit more prominent. He's a strongman through and through!
