Next up, we have Red and Snow's OTHER best friend. And between the three of them, the only one who isn't a screwball. Anne W. (I haven't decided on her last name yet), another beneficiary of R-Day.
She began her life in the early 20th century, though she never really knew her biological parents as she grew up in a particularly shitty New York orphanage.
Even as other kids ended up getting adopted, she still tried to keep her spirits up.
Unusual circumstances however, resulted in her getting adopted by a wealthy man who'd made a large amount of money selling weapons to to Allied forces in WWI.
They actually got along pretty well, even though she ended up in a number of bizarre adventures AFTER adoption, but at least she got a canine companion, a best friend whose family immigrated from Oz.
Anne overall wound up living a pretty adventurous life over the next few decades. One Harold Gray learned of her life and made a comic strip based on it...with initial mixed reception, while it became popular, Anne, her dog and her father were a bit uncomfortable with the setup, they begrudgingly let him continue the strip after he agreed to change their names, and stress they were not supposed to be them.
...And also come up with an original catchphrase, "Hot alligator!" was ANNE'S catchphrase.
Over time, she found love and eventually had a family. And then ultimately passed away sometime in the early nineties.
...And like a number of people, she came back from the dead back in 2010, ten years old all over again.
Unlike Red and Snow, she adjusted to modern living much better...it helps that she did pass away closer to the present. But there were noted difficulties...there were tensions among her living family who'd only just accepted her absence, the conflicted situation lead to Anne just moving to Hetelville, Florida while her adoptive father attempted to rebuild his fortune.
At present, she's been alive again for four years, now fourteen and attending high school...for the second time. Living in a dormitory for the 'temporally/dimensionally displaced' living with Red Riding Hood and Snow White.
Anne had some trouble getting along with Red at first, pretty much none with Snow, but grew to find her roommates to be good friends.
Out of the three members of the trio, Anne is the continual voice of reason, much more level headed than Snow and better at keeping calm than Red...and also being a teetotaler due to some 'bad experiences' with bootleggers.
While she's trying to rebuild her life in a new century however, not all of her family is caught up in the same tension that resulted in Anne moving to Florida in the first place.
Specifically, her great-granddaughter Frances (or as her friends call her, Fanny'), who'd never met this famous ancestor of her's, and would like to see if they'd get along.
