A horror story with lots of sex and a snarky sense of humor, "The Black Gruff of the Woods" is inspired by "The Shadow over Innsmouth" - a Novella by H. P. Lovecraft.
"This is a Lovecraft story," Norma eventually said. "Howard Phillips Lovecraft was resonating at the frequency of the outsiders and he tried to contain what he was seeing in his stories."
"Wait," Rachel said as she recoiled at the thought. "It's real? Like ... Cthulhu and the whole Shoggoth thing?"
"Not completely; but sort of," Norma said. "The poor man used stories as a way to convince himself that none of it was real, but he still broke under the strain. The things that are out there are not literally called Cthulhu, or anything like that, but the general idea is accurate."
Warning: This book contains straight sex, monster sex, transformation sex, lactation fetish, and more than a few jokes that sound like they came right out of the Rocky Horror Picture Show. H.P. Lovecraft's aversion to sex and slippery things means he would have been really freaked out by this book.
