"Your Vastness! Your Greatness!" Kamek shouted breathlessly as the Koopa Kingdom's court mage rushed to Bowser's side. "When I heard the news, I made certain I was the first to congratulate you, sir! I don't mind telling you that I was afraid you might never pull it off, but you did it! You actually did it!"

Bowser was taken off guard, pulling out his first attempt at one of those cakes Princess Peach always claimed she was so good at making. If it was good, it would make a great treat for the Koopa King and his son- if it turned out bad, eh, he would tell the goombas he made it especially for them. "Uh… I mean, it's nothing, really, Kamek, a little milk, a little sugar, some frosting- honestly, I don't get why Peach says 'cake' and Mario always comes running."

"What? No, Your Viciousness! You kidnapped Princess Peach and Mario!"

Bowser stopped in his tracks. "What? I did?"

"The Mushroom Kingdom is in complete disarray! They say the Princess and Mario just vanished into thin air!"

The Koopa King's mood turned, his face like a thunderstorm as bits of flame teased at the corners of his mouth. He let out a growing roar as he grabbed Kamek by the throat, snatching him up into the air. "They what?"

Kamek gasped, trying to find purchase on the dragon turtle's thick, scaly hide. "Your Immesitude! Please! I'm just the messenger!"

"Don't you realize what this means?" Bowser thundered. "Some punk kidnapped Peach and Mario right under my nose! They're gonna make me look like a total loser!"

"W-what are we going to do about it, Your Terribleness?" Kamek squeaked, desperately trying to placate his huge, angry boss.

Bowser snorted, tossing Kamek back. "I'll tell ya what we're gonna do. Dust off my old weights! Get the goombas and the koopas- I want them scouring every inch of the countryside for some power mushrooms." Flame shot out of his nostrils as the dragon turtle snorted, palming his fist. "I'm gonna save Peach and Mario, but first I'm gonna bulk up- I want this punk to know what a big mistake he made by crossing the Koopa King!"
