In the clearing stands a boxer
And a fighter by his trade
And he carries the reminders
Of every glove that laid him down
And cut him 'til he cried out
In his anger and his shame
"I am leaving, I am leaving"
But the fighter still remains
A random character inspired by the Simon and Garfunkel song "The Boxer".
I recently moved, and have been having a hard time becoming productive again. Haha. I finally managed to get something done that turned out okay-ish.

I like the feel of this piece, the atmosphere, ya know
With a little more detail in the background (I know, it can be bothersome to draw it all) and maybe some smoking cigars in an ashtray, a couple of silhouettes... it would really sell me on the story here (even if you didn't plan to write one).
However, I think this is great, I can see the improvement in your skill. Keep it up!

Definitely a melancholy vibe to this. I can't call it sad, but there's definitely a history he's lookng back on through the bottom of each glass. The isolation fits the context - even if the bar were packed, he wouldn't be paying attention to anyone else right now.
The reflections on the cups... They're not photorealistic, but they work. So, thumbs up there.
My only suggestion? Well, somebody's gotta teach Frost how to throw hands.
