When it comes to books, Sharon... doesn't see the appeal behind them. Granted, a big reason behind that probably has to do with her inability to read or write, effectively making it impossible to understand what the things are even trying to convey (doubly so if they lack any good illustrations), but I get the feeling she wouldn't be too into them even if she was literate. Sharon never was one to sit around and laze about, after all, and prefers to learn from real life experiences... for better and for worse.

I commissioned this artist to draw Melee for me 10 years ago, and while I hoped to get something done of Sharon from her down the line, I never got the chance to do such... until now! After getting a response from her about some old files I was hoping to get back, I discovered she was open for commission work again and saw that as a chance to get something from her. Since I've been wanting to get more artwork of "Outcast" Sharon, I thought I'd hit her up about that... though I still would like to get some artwork from Rose of Sharon during her younger "Peasant" years eventually.

Figured I'd try to commission something funny this time, and figured something showing off Sharon's illiteracy would make for a good picture. I suggested her holding a book the wrong way, but the "Reading for Dummies" bit was Rose's idea. I admittedly chuckled at the irony of the whole thing... hopefully, that book will have some pictures to help Sharon better understand it, though I get the feeling she's not going to be holding that thing for much longer.
