When the sun goes down, one would think that it would be a time to say goodbye to the waking world till the next morning. Not for the signal-addled residents of the Pale City. They sit and stare endlessly, taking in all the sounds and sights presented to them with such ease and convenience. They consume it all, while the Tower, slowly but surely, consumes them.
