I'm so glad everything worked out for them :) its lovely to see someone who doesn't share your kinks/interests come to a good compromise that leaves you both comfortable and showing she accepts it more now after being able to understand it.
Also I really love how Star's drawn in the third panel, you can really see her more stronger bodytype from the army and training here and also it gives a good contrast in a way as Star LOOKS strong but it discussing something where at the time she's quite vulnerable and as Elly put it, "helpless".

OK. Hear me out on this...
It happens in a non-ABDL capacity.
Star has too much too drink, a rough night that's just worn her completely out, or some other situation where Elly is just like, "Yeah, no, you're done for the night."
There's no kink side to Elly's actions, at least on her end, just making sure her friend gets to bed safe and doesn't wind up on the floor or whatever.
Then afterwards, seeing Star in bed, or even just straight up ugly sleeping/snoring/whatever, just has a moment of: "...Oh, THAT'S what they see in taking care of her."
It happens in a non-ABDL capacity.

Always make sure the easy to damage stuff is out of reach for the small one... and Fee.

This is the absolute best thing that Star could have hoped for, considering that she and Martin eventually get together (not excluding Kim, ofc)

she is the embodiment of I understand and accept but not the fantasy of because she accepts is going to help change your diapers... People have their own things and some may feel uncomfortable with the notion I saw a couple comments saying that elly was gonna change stars diapers and well that could be an scenario that is possible, I think the larger group of friends is going to go like elly did in this scene, it doesn't bother me, as long as you keep it tidy all supergood.
This isn't how I broke it to my housemate, but this was basically the agreement we had. No sight, sound, or smell but I could wear however I wanted within those parameters. And I was asked not to Littlespace in front of him, but I rarely did that outside of Little events anyway.

Ooh that one hit me RIGHT in the feels, I remember mom telling me to just keep things 'tidy' (in her words, but same effect), and as long as everyone was out, she didn't mind me 'indulging' in things as long as nothing was left out where anyone else would see. Poor Bob. nothing a few threads of switching wont solve. I've had littles who had injured stuffies and I just brought them to build a bear, adopted a new one to keep the wounded one company.. while also giving the old one new stuffing and a nice patching up.

Whrn i started reading shine i wasn't sure or even comfortable around those kind of things then after some extensive reading i guess it got to me i can understand and due to me having alot of anxiety,stress and being scared to be judged i found myself comfortable being a little and when i started i abseloutely loved it

I always loved their dynamic, allowing star to be more open with her feelings and being more vulnerable with generally no extreme consequence (aside from her commanding officers botched blackmail attempt, he got what he deserved). I've always wanted an outlet to be more vulnerable and emotional but being how my life tends to go sideways after attempting such things, I find it easier to hide the emotions and just not smile. it isn't healthy but it's the only thing that keeps me from falling down with no real good way to get back up again.
Shine has always made me feel smol, and it's sort of a gateway to allow me to be more...soft...that probably isn't the right word to use but close enough
also, congrats to you for Shine being awarded the Ursa Major Award for best graphic novel back in 2021, I never got to congratulate you properly, things have been quite...hectic... lately. I'm just glad I can get back into reading these again

This is basically the part of the comic that I decided (same with all the censored parts) that I wanted to make a FA account to comment. I love how you didn't put the standard trope of "it doesn't change how I see you", but instead, "I see you differently and I can understand how you are better".
