This is just me, but when it was explained Varden has lasting effects from experiments, when pair with the scene processing it where Saffy tried the spray that rendered her only able to speak in baby babble, I've always gotten a tiny little girl voice in my mind whenever I read Varden's lines. Really hearing it especially clearly in this comic.

I might be reading way too into this but is Cleo not speaking with her usual accent here?

I think this could be a very far off future thing tbh, a little like how Stam (star + sam lol) said that Shine's gonna have a timeskip. Saffy's only been at CTN for a few days rn so I definitely think it would take some weeks/months in comic before she feels more open to embracing this part of her. But whether it comes from therapy to help her current age sliding issues or just her finally deciding to be open about what she wants is gonna still be left up to be seen yet.
