Not any more, he's quit directing and went into cooking after German changed the law for tax ride offs. that and he had a major meltdown on social media years ago after one of his movies failed to get crowd funded.

To be fair the prior CEO's of WB and D.C. had put themselves on the road to ruin for the last decade. The idiots within the company who helped pave the way for all the doom and gloom are trying to spin everything to paint Zaslav as the bad guy. Do I entirely agree with his methods? No, but at the same time, he came into a company bleeding money and probably discovered shit he wasn't informed of, so things got to be cut. Believe me, I'd rather we didn't lose CN Studios; but again, they have been going downhill well before Zaslav showed up. He's just the one making the calls at the top. Plenty of blame to go around if you do the research.

yeah, my prior comment was mostly a joke. the animation industry as a whole has kinda been on a real bad downward spiral for YEARS now, in both terms of it's finances and it's treatment of its workers and artists. This is definitely a foreseeable outcome to the mess that's been happening for years now. Studio/IP hoarding from companies is just gonna make these exact scenarios repeat over and over until something goes real wrong, i bet.

I haven't paid a ton of attention to CN in years and I don't think outside of Bobby Kotick or the guy at the top of Ubisoft there is a guy in entertainment I currently hate more
