My ears perk to the side a bit as we put a bit of distance from the drinking fountain so as to not potentially damage it. I can hear something in the distance, some grunts coming out and attacks being shouted. Maria notices it too and I nod, letting her know I believe we should check it out. It could be useful for her training. It could be something entertaining to watch or it could be something we need to avoid.

What is somewhat concerning is that they aren’t at all close to the path. It’s not uncommon for trainers to wander off in search of pokemon to catch, so that makes it far more likely that we might be at risk of being caught unless the trainer’s pokemon are weak enough to not be much of a threat, and hopefully much smarter than that last one. But the bigger question would be what would these trainers be doing out this late at night? There really aren’t any pokemon in the area that are more prominent at nighttime. As we get closer I can actually hear more voices. It’s not just one trainer that’s fighting but it sounds like several and it also sounds rather one sided as there is desperation in the voices of some but laughter in the other.
