Happy Halloween everyone! I hope your day will be fun or relaxing! Or whatever else you’d like it to be.
This time alongside Hex I included the lovely Kari! She’s very spooky.
I was so inspired for this but it seemed a bit cursed at times. I’d be dying to work on it and yet still find no motivation to do so somehow. Then I beaned it with a fried shrimp. But with my bestie’s help and some powdered chalk I got back into it and got it done!
I hope you enjoy!

Of course! For most colours I go lighter first than shade with darker, but for black or other really dark colours that can look a bit choppy somehow. So “reverse shading” seems to do a better job in that regard! I lay the darker one down first and then go over that whole part with the lighter one. The blending that does seems to make it look more natural!
If for some reason that doesn’t look good with the shades you’ve got available. I’d try laying the lighter layer down first, and while it’s still wet layer the darker overtop so it blends itself into the lighter colour.
I hope that helps! Let me know if you’ve got any more questions!
