But in all likelihood it’s far better to play it safe. And then I have to figure out how best to inform her. She’s kind of far so I’ll have to shout for there to be any chance of her hearing me and then there’s the issue of how the rocket members would react to my warning. I doubt they have anyone that can understand pokemon, but it is entirely possible they may pick up on her change of strategy. The moment that one of them attacks I put on a bit of speed to dash out of the way enough to make a quick statement.

“Maria!” I shout. “Switch off! We don’t know if bitey is single or all!”

I don’t have the luxury to check as even checking to see if she even heard me costs me a blow by the other pokemon I’m fighting against. It isn’t a full on hit but it was enough of a distraction that I wasn’t able to fully get out of the way. And more a sign that I’m not perfect. I imagine Maria’s in much the same shape I am. We’re doing much better than the Rocket pokemon but we’re still taking hits here and there. And eventually we’re going to tire out enough that the fresher pokemon will find it easier to hit us. It’s just a matter of when and if we can last long enough to beat them all before that happens.
