Shit you're right. It's a new method of catching pokemon that I'm trying.

Where instead of weakening them, I fatten them up to the point where they can't escape. Sure their speed becomes 0 but their defensive stats are amazing.

It does take some time but I've caught an entire tram of Alcremie to help speed things up and I'm beating up trainers using an Amulet Coin for double the cash.
