Hello World! - Mini-Animation!
Burdbot powers on!
I made a... thing? I've been wanting to make something sort of mechanical or cybernetical for a while now, but every time I tried I ended up giving up and turning them into a normal character because I couldn't find a design I liked. But I stuck with it this time and at the end, I think I found something I do like! It's a pretty simple design, I kept the 'robotness' to a minimum because I found the more I added the less appealing it started to get. I wanted it to look very soft and cute and approachable, not scary mean machine-y. As such, visually it's sort of almost closer to living silicone than anything super mechanical, but if you use your imagination and ignore physics a bit it should do the job, hah.
It's also about time I gave Nidhala a proper creation. Lore-wise she's supposed to be a great creator, but so far I've never made anything for her that's more complicated than a fancy dildo on a stick, haha. Finally she's got something to show for her talents (and a partner she can actually pair up with!).
So, a tiny little burbbot says hello. And yes, it is fully functional in every way of course, and programmed in multiple techniques!
Just a quickie little doodle so it could say hello to you all. I'll do something to show it off better down the road!

Would depend heavily on the details and design. Robotic creatures can get very very difficult to make when it comes to rigging time, if they're too complex. That's part of why this guy is 90% squishy rubber stuff, haha. Also, I'm not super into robot critters so the design would have to be something I find appealing, which isn't guaranteed.
Gotcha, I have this character who's basically just a toy made into an OC ( https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I.....19BUNN6HlL.jpg ) and she has a lot of the same design elements this penguin does, so I had to ask. :)
I think this comment was mostly meant to be humorous, but for the sake of conversation- currently not yet, but it does have a lot of "built in" features. Mainly all the openings and organs that one might want to interact with, and they all form smoothly from the body so they can be enabled or disabled at will. Partners can have any bits they like in any combination. :D
Oh my, what a delightful little sweetheart they are! They'll make a wonderful minion/partner-in-crime for Nidhala~
Hmmmm... they have the 'equipment' and know how to use it, but I wonder if they have the psychological/emotional hook to make them want/need to use them?
Maybe they're Asexual, and don't seek pleasure out for themselves, but are always happy to use their bits if asked because of how happy it makes their partner? ^_^
I could see them sharing some of Nidhala's mannerisms, like being adorably excitable when dealing with bondage machine fun~

Hard to say! In my head they're programmed to experience 'pleasure', and joy/enjoyment at their partners experiencing pleasure, or at least programmed to outwardly imitate the effect these things... but whether they're capable of actually wanting or needing it, or just follow commands, that's a little harder to say. When you enter into the realm of hyper advanced AI imitating emotions, the line between what's "real" and what's "programming" is very blurry. :P
Adorable and cool design! I've liked the idea of artificial furries ever since reading "The Lifecycle of Software Objects." That's also where I learned that AIs have to be careful with altering their own 'instincts,' don't want to turn yourself into a sex addict by flipping the wrong switch.

Good GOD! This is amazing. There’s nothing wrong with keeping the robotness to a minimum. Just look at Data from TNG, he’s a machine but doesn’t fully move like a machine.
Yeah, I’m thinking I really gotta stop drawing and hit the 3D circuit. I’m getting frustrated with how I’m drawing lately. It could be work is making me too tired to really focus but as I keep saying, I wanna see my characters in 3D.
