I take advantage of the number advantage and the fact they aren’t focusing on me as heavily to take a breather behind the much bigger Chesnaught. Though I know it wouldn’t be enough to allow me to fully recover and my own sense of duty prevents me from just sitting out the rest of the fight, especially not with Maria still in danger. I haven’t earned a full rest yet, and as much as my body would really like to just lie down and do nothing for a while, I cannot stop until everything is completed. And I need to have enough in reserves to potentially fight against these two as well.

So for the time being I’ll just use the bigger grass pokemon as a shield to hide behind rather than using quick attack to avoid attacks. And since I’ve been using ranged attacks this entire time I take a moment and make a habit of peeking around him long enough to fire off a flamethrower at the enemies, focusing on control and range rather than power. For now we have the advantage. But that could easily change. And I have to be wary of another play like before where they utilize my curse against me.
