I’ve lost count on how many each of the Rocket members have lost thus far, too distracted by the whole aspect of the battle in general. So each time one of them falls I tense up, expecting the compulsion to take effect again, even though I know there’s no chance of me stopping it. And then the Palossand finally goes down and I feel it take effect. But instead of coming to with my teeth wrapped around the arm of another of the Rocket members I find myself being held quite firmly by the Chesnaught. Apparently, even though they had never discussed anything about my condition, the moment I went in to transfer the curse he knew well enough to grab and hold me. I can’t get out of his grip, not that I particularly want to. But I also do not have any control over my body either. My body is dead-set on carrying out the compulsion to bite the Rocket member and transfer the curse and is so singularly-minded in this regard it doesn’t even seem to recognize that it is unable to do so. Unfortunately, until the compulsion is lifted I’m as much in control of my body now as during the times where he has control over this body. But it is something to keep in mind for the future, that Maria could hold off the curse being transferred temporarily. But right now it just means instead of four against three, it’s now a two against two.
