Valari's asking some questions, and we finally know for a 100% whether or not Malani is pregnant.
It's quite funny, as I never disclosed whether or not she was, but people just, kinda assumed she was x))
Anywhoozies, I'll say the same thing as I said on Patreon here;
I wish I had written this "law" in earlier, instead of this 'late' in the story.
To me, it always made sense that Kiara would put something in place to protect subjects from the ire of a king/queen due to what happened to Kovu.
Alas, I didn't think of it, or saw it as important to be mentioned earlier in the story.
So if this comes out like, out of the blue, that's why.
I simply didn't think of it; and that's fine.
I'm still learning after all : )

Honestly, I think the timing for its mention is perfect. It was out of the blue to Val, makes sense why it's out of the blue to us readers too. Also, I agree that Kiara would make a law like that. She was wise beyond her years in TLK2, and it makes sense that she'd want to stop the unwarranted exile without due process.
