Story behind my old design of kovu's mother:
Kaa was the famous Hyena Slayer and wife to the Leader of a small pride. She was strong, brave and ambitious. She was famous for being the best Hyena killer. During Scar reign, Sarabi went to her and described the situation about not having enough food when hyenas are around. She decided to come back to prideland and kill Shenzi the leader of hyena's clan. So she left her newborn cub Kovu with her mother and went to prideland. her husband was dead because of illness so she only had her old mom to survive and takes care of Kovu. but Scar knew her plan since he had some hyenas to chase Sarabi so he was ready. in the time she left her mom and cub Scar and Zira captured her mom and killed her. Scar took Kovu as hostage. and told Kaa that the only way to let his son to survive is to leave and never come back...
