I've lost more than one computer to an OS update loop where it endlessly tries to update, runs into an error, restarts, begins installing the update again, lather, rinse, repeat until heat death of the universe. In both cases another part of the collapse there made it unable to take to a factory reset, reinstall the the OS, or anything else. Really frustrating thing on the whole.
