Well, technically scientists do poke around with those things on some occasions. They just don't mix them together to make foul-smelling, useless love potions and such XD

All you need to know is to get OUT! Stuff is a sulfur compound. Imagine intense rotten egg smell that will be very hard to purge from your memory and nostrils.

No kidding. I occasionally work with it, and it takes nearly 3 days for the smell to leave my nostrils, or at least the memory of it.

Wow. I heard it was pretty bad, but that's awful. >.<

My brain's kind of random right now, but isn't Ethyl Mercaptan the stuff they put in natural gas so that people know when there's a leak?
