The wolf war party has been blessed by the summer rain. Had the ground been drier, the grounds in front of the deer camp would be used for all sorts of nefarious purposes. A common tactic employed to thwart ambushes is the rape and torture of prisoners out in the open. The resulting screams echoing into the night cloud the judgement of experienced fighters with anger and turn the stomach of novices. Perhaps the deer have become over reliant on this defense and have posted hardly any sentries.
