BAC)
You set the dwindling orca down on the counter and grab the spell book, flipping through the pages. You find something called a Doubling Spell. Maybe like doubling in size? That could work! Holding the book, you point a finger at the mouse-sized Mystic and read the words Leps Nilbud! Like a spark from a static shock, a blue bolt of light zaps Mystic, who promptly stops shrinking.
“Woah, thank goodness that worked! I'm not sure I would have ever stopped shrinking,” Mystic sighed in relief. Crackles of blue electricity sparked across his body. “Uh... Lucky? What exactly did you do?”
You watch in shock as the little orca split in half and turned into... two little orcas. They look at each other in amazement, carefully poking and prodding each other, not sure they were both real. You set your hand down on the counter and let them walk onto your palm, raising them to your eye level.
“Sorry guys,” You explain, “I guess that's why they call it a doubling spell!”
The two mini-Mystics cross their arms, “Well, now that we're not shrinking anymore, at least you have time to figure this out before anything else happens!”
But Mystic and Mystic had spoken too soon. The blue crackle of energy returned and suddenly there were FOUR Mystics! “Uh Oh...” They all said in unison.
“I can fix this!” You shout.
“Not so loud!” The tiny whales said.
“Sorry,” you say softly, “This is great, as you are gaining mass, all I need to do is make a potion to pull you all together and we'll have just one, normal sized Mystic again!”
“Sounds like a plan...” The eight Mystic collective said, trying hard to not fall off of your hand.
You set the orca pod down on the work station and get to work. The Mystics occupy their time by exploring the strange new gigantic world around them. Some got comfortable sitting on potion bottles and watch you work, while others started a campfire around a bunsen burner. Still others continued to explore inside the open spaces in the work station. By the time you finished the potion, you were surprised to see two whole teams had formed a soccer game, playing with a marble they had found. Oops... two whole soccer games!
“Ok, this is an area effect potion recombination potion,” You announce to the group, “Anyone who inhales it will merge with any similar individual, so it shouldn't affect me. So here goes!”
You break the bottle on the table and a cloud of vapor spills out to cover the surface. By now your workstation was covered by hundreds- maybe thousands- of curious orcas and there wasn't much room left to work with! When the mist cleared, there was only one orca left sitting on the bench.
“Hey, get down from there!” You scold the orca, “You don't want to knock anything over!”
Mystic hopped down to the floor and stood up, eyeing you suspiciously. Then the orca walked next to you and held his hand over his head, then over to yours, measuring his height against you.
“Lucky... I'm pretty sure I'm still a few inches too short. Weren't I taller than you before?”
“That's silly! Of course you're back to normal!” You say with a smile. But... maybe you better start mixing a growth potion... just in case!
