Hee-Ho, howdy everyone. Looks like I'm posting this a bit later at night than usual, but hey- I got it done, I have internet, why not use it to upload what I most recently created? Now technically in theory, this is kind of a remake of this image here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/49654644/
So, a lot of what is already mentioned will once again be repeated. However, this time we got some dialogue text coming from Ayvil Materia... That and we even got a nice little image too of Thomza right there. Unfortunately, the crowd has been a bit dummied out, but this time is because Thomza and Ayvil are the main focus. I feel it fits a bit better for the mood of the place and the theme... (Also, an excuse to finally draw Thomza shirtless since he's so confident and only needs a shoulder pad and loincloth.)
Now to explain the arena and what Ayvil's so happy about to show off her more dragon-like abilities. The planet that the main characters are on has its fair share of sports, but none are more popular than the Gladiatorial Arena. This is where heroes, villains, and even monsters go to test their metal in front of a live audience. Sometimes it can be in front of the pillars with Tiamat, UBiL, Ballos, Proto and or it could be broadcasted for a TV show hosted by doctor love across the stars. Or it can even be in front of simple peasants as the sport is extremely popular on the planet and even the primitive villages and settlements will usually have arenas. Creating teams, placing bets, and then having everyone battle it out for entertainment of citizens and Loyals alike. Even less fortunate villages and towns will often draft gladiators to the arena to get their name on the mark
Now this is where Ayvil and Thomza step in as gladiatorial beasts. Is it cheating that gods would enter the arena to fight mortals? Most likely, but it's not like that's immediately apparent when viewed from the outside and when the two are traveling. Making a name for themselves under disguised names and competing for the cup. Thomza at the least despite being a character who does not enjoy most of the fights he's in, actually does enjoy the arena. Mostly as for his knightly nature he sees it as a duel and putting his opponents on equal ground of skill. Ayvil on the other hand as you can see is way more of a savage about this. Wanting to indulge herself in the arena in front of a crowd and in front of her husband to show how mighty she truly is. That she wants her named to be absolutely revered and for that she, an Alpha Fruit Kobold, will strike fear into their hearts.
