NOT MY ART
A beautiful piece by Kruvis! And a sequel of sorts to https://sfw.furaffinity.net/view/48341601/
This was inspired by a recent YCH from her of a dragon climbing over a boulder while stalking some deer. While Shardaron's kind can hunt like a dinosaur, walking on their hind legs, that is reserved for areas where they cannot fly. They prefer to soar high overhead with the sun to their back. They keep an eye on their shadow to make sure it doesn't fall over their prey and alert the prey to their pretense. They then dive down. They pull up deliberately late, timing their landing to be a bit rough and on their prey. They use the prey as a cushion to soften their landing while simultaneously killing or injuring it.
Though it seems like the deer got wise to the tactic at the last second and is bolting. Will Shard be able to catch his prey before it gets into the trees or will he have to hunt like a drake again?
