Hee-Ho, Howdy everyone! Finally got some more artwork and more lore of the setting of Skin to Scales to explain! This is technically a continuation of the post about the Angel-Tech conscripts which you can find right around here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/50455765/
Although! A heads-up! Some of this might have some information that repeats itself ever so slightly as it basically is an expansion on the lore of one of the enemy factions that the main cast has to face. Now who better to explain it than Ivory herself? Which is... A character I haven't illustrated in an incredibly long time! Although I made sure I gave her an update to match her being a Necromancer of the Sands and... Well, her now retired job of being a teacher to train some of the troops. Usually, she's head of the magic division, but sometimes she'll step in as a substitute for the military academy as she's fought in multiple wars with the main cast. However, her days of warfare and fighting in it are long over, and she just wishes to pass that knowledge down for another generation to take her place. That her struggles are over, and she wishes to live peacefully with her feline- cat-like husband, Eclipse... She gets to keep the cool armor though, she worked hard to get it custom made, and she's proud of it.
Now! Onto the bits and pieces of Angel-Tech that will now be finally detailed out in this post. This being a rough interpretation of their uprising and what all had happened about 300 years ago before the current time of the setting of Skin to Scales. At one point, the people over at Angel-Tech weren’t really the big bad guys of the setting. In fact, they weren’t even called Angel-Tech at all and used to be made of several hundred little human factions. These factions usually kept to themselves and were busy waging war and battles on one another instead of dealing with the alien threats that was left outside of their known galaxies and sectors. Nobody really bothered the humans or paid attention to them, and they did the same vice versa. Although once the A.I war began, this balance of infighting was suddenly shattered after the disappearance of several well-known sectors. Being completely devoured and consumed by the Love-Bot forces without any hope of survival. It was a complete and total annihilation as planets were practically swallowed whole in a matter of seconds.
Once the threat to humanity was known fully by the robotic alien forces they quickly and violently began to band together in a moment's notice. Creating what is known as Angel-Tech and it’s many little subbranches today. They would fight on multiple fronts and try and hold together a militaristic force to keep their remaining sectors alive and create a wall of soldiers, spaceships, and armor to protect what was left of humanity. After the A.I threat was dealt with by the Plantaran Republic and other various alien races, Angel-Tech retaliated and struck everyone when they were kicked down. Taking major sectors of the galaxy and having a technological boom. Making sure that humanity came first and would ensure that by wiping out every other alien race that they would never be under threat ever again. That the religious barbarians known as “Love-Bots” have been taken care of, but the universe they deem will not be safe until it is all obliterated. Any alien race who was not outright destroyed was either drafted for the frontlines or detained and studied to create sub-humans. New breakthroughs in technology came on through and with substantial numbers they began their crusade and wiped out many alien races who are now long extinct.
However, with this expansion as said before, many people did break off of Angel-Tech and start their own human sub factions. As Angel-Tech continues to grow so does their conflict on all fronts... As they’ve made enemies with most if not all factions of the well-known-universe and even when teaming up with the boogeymen of the Galaxy (The Ultrinians) decided to betray them in the end as it would be their biggest mistake. As they are still dealing with the horrors of their betrayal to this day as most of the Ultrinians teamed up with the main cast. Which makes it all the more terrifying for them and why Angel-Tech seeks the destruction of the pillars above all else by any means necessary. However, Angel-Tech despite having trillions upon trillions of soldiers are only good at holding ground on planets. Usually using forms of portal technology to transport several thousand troops a day across the entire universe. Their spaceships though are not up to par and troop transports are usually destroyed before they can even see their goal. However, once their portals are up, they light up like beacons despite them trying to be sneaky about it. Once the portals are destroyed, planets are usually safe from their attacks. However, if a portal is left open then they will continue to multiply and continue the onslaught for as long as possible.
This is the main cast's goal when it comes to defeating Angel-Tech is to destroy their portals on their home planet. Thankfully with them being able to easily detect portals on their various radars it won't be hard to find some of their bases where they call in support and troops. However, it is known they've tried to ship mass explosives to destroy planets as well when things weren't working out for them. Just to destroy the "alien-threat", however they've unfortunately learned their lesson on trying it with the main cast. As one time they tried it, only for UBiL to send their explosive right back and causing the loss of an entire factory planet and lighting up their entire galaxy cluster for destruction. With them waging war on the gods it has its extremely brutal cost. Although the sponsors, their leaders, will say that it's all for the greater good of humanity as most conscripts don't even know what they're getting into.
With that, I think that basically concludes the expanded Angel-Tech lore for now. I hope this gives a good idea of the faction and I will be sharing off troops, battles, and much more of the enemy faction at a later date. However, there are factions I have yet to touch upon that are needed. Until next time everybody! Have a good one!
Disclaimer and Copyright: These characters involved, and the artwork belongs to me, TwistedHensley. The Skin to Scales universe also belongs to me there, TwistedHensley... You get the drill. I want to point out that this is an Epic Dark Fantasy setting with a lot of mythological and religious tones and that there is no real-life connection to any of these events, religions, characters and it is fully, grounded, in fantasy. This is the same setting where faith is a massive part of the magic system. There are also many satirical tones as well...
