And here's another supervillain that works for VillainCo in my series, "Heroes, Ltd." This time, he's a fire-wielding brute with a history with Mitch, aka Mr. Arcade. He's known as Heat Stroke, and he's ready to burn things up, so to speak.
Name: Desmond O'Grady
Date of birth: November 9, 1998
Species: Human
Age: 24
Height: 6'3"
Weight: 201 lbs.
Occupation: Bully, ex-fire safety specialist, street thug, VillainCo employee
Affiliation(s): VillainCo
Likes: Bullying people, burning things, spicy food, causing serious damage, warm weather, working for VillainCo, his fellow VillainCo employees (except for Screech, she scares him), hot chocolate, barbecues, money, bad reality TV shows, and being the best in his field
Dislikes: Mr. Arcade (and pretty much anything he likes), anything cold, especially at below sub-zero temperatures (which would explain why he doesn't like Frostine that much), going swimming, the insecurities of his past, aquariums, fire extinguishers, clothes that aren't flame resistant, and ear hair
Powers & Abilities:
The lab accident gave Desmond the ability to control fire and heat, and he shoots it at his foes in balls, streams, and blasts. He can even create weapons such as swords and axes with his fire, and can even use it as a shield against enemy projectiles. He can also turn into a blazing stream of fire to travel great distances, and can even turn into a fiery tornado to do some serious damage.

Bio:
Desmond O'Grady's family came to New York from Ireland back in the late 1800s, and they were simple potato farmers looking to start over in a more prosperous country. They opened up a market in Manhattan, and they became easy pickings for various crooks looking to take their profits for themselves, especially during the Great Depression, where business was struggling. When Desmond's dad took over the family business, he decided to take up boxing to better defend himself, his family, and his profits, and after standing up for everything his family worked hard for, he was picked up by a scout, and became a boxing legend, even becoming heavyweight champion for a time. When Desmond was born, he admired his dad and his fighting prowess, and believed that in order to get by in life, you gotta be tough and nasty, and beat people up just to show dominance.
However, Desmond lacked his father's discipline and self control when it came to boxing, and he became nothing but a bully when he went to school. He would go around school beating up wimpier kids, and taking their lunch money for no real reason. The one student he picked on the most was Mitch Hutchinson, as he found his love for comic books, video games, and cartoons to be "for babies," and he would completely torment him because he was "wasting his time" with it and not being tough and nasty like him. This carried over into high school, and he was so scary among the student body, they would steer clear of him whenever he would walk down the hallway. Even the other bullies at the school were afraid of him. On the last day of school during his freshman year, Mitch told the principal that Desmond used an extremely rare comic book that he had in his collection for toilet paper, and he had him expelled for his bullying ways, which in turn made the students relieved and happy that his reign of terror was over. Desmond, however, was angry that Mitch snitched on him, and vowed to get even with him one day.
Afterwards, Desmond turned to a life of crime, and committed various crimes in hopes of making enough money just to get by in life. However, he ended up getting arrested, and after his release, his parents decided to send him to college so he can become a fire safety specialist just to teach him how to make an honest living. Many years later, he was able to graduate, and became a fire safety specialist for a big fire insurance company, going around the state to make sure everyone's abiding by the proper fire safety codes. One night, he was sent to a laboratory in Newark, New Jersey to check the chemicals for fire potential, and he was able to find some on a shelf right by an enhancement machine. There was a bad rainstorm happening outside, and a bolt of lightning struck a nearby tree, which crashed through the lab window, knocking the chemicals onto Desmond, and he backed up into the machine trying to wipe them off. After the machine exploded, Desmond emerged from the flames looking like a living ball of fire, and after discovering that he had the power to control fire and heat, decided to quit being a fire safety specialist, and became a fire-based supervillain under the name "Heat Stroke," returning to a life of crime in hopes of making money HIS way.
Heat Stroke's criminal activities got the attention of Brother Grimskull, and he offered him a job at VillainCo so he can make a name for himself in the supervillain community. When he heard the offer, he jumped right at it, and was given his first assignment: to deal with a few Heroes, Ltd. heroes were investigating the failing TV show "D.U.M.B. Doggy" in southern California. He arrived at the request of the show's creator, Karen Hood, and he noticed that the best boy for the show was Mitch Hutchinson, the kid he picked on the most during school. Mitch didn't recognize him at first, and after he called him a wimp and said that he's still "wasting his time with baby stuff," he knew that it was Desmond O'Grady, just with a much fierier disposition. During the fight, Mitch decided to help out, finally deciding to stand up to his former tormentor. When Heat Stroke pinned him to the wall, he noticed the sound stage fire extinguisher, and he immediately grabbed it. Mitch sprayed him with it, and his powers were temporarily extinguished, causing him to retreat once the other heroes rescued Shannon Leopard from her awful life. After Karen became Lady Hood, Heat Stroke continued to work for VillainCo, but would face Mitch time and time again, now known as the superhero Mr. Arcade.
Strengths:
-Can withstand extremely hot temperatures because of his fiery abilities
-Is a skilled brawler, and can dish out some serious damage
-Very loyal to VillainCo no matter what
-Always willing to take on any task Brother Grimskull has for him
-Fiery body makes it hard for his opponents to hit him properly
-Can move very quickly by turning into a stream of fire
-Works well in a team setting despite his teammates not trusting him
Weaknesses:
-Relies too much on brute force to overpower his enemies
-Gets weak when in below sub-zero temperatures
-Loses his fire powers when he gets wet
-Not to bright, and falls for tricks very easily
-Motivated mostly by greed, which gets him in trouble at times
-Reckless and hot-headed, often charging in without a plan
-Brutish behavior makes him untrustworthy around his fellow VillainCo employees
Well, what do you think of Heat Stroke?
