I gotta say, sharks are starting to get much more positive publicity since the days of "Jaws," with King Shark from "The Suicide Squad," and recently Mr. Shark from "The Bad Guys." But there was also "Street Sharks" in the 90s, so there's that. For "Heroes, Ltd.," I decided to jump on the nice shark bandwagon with Finn Hangtime, a heroic surfer dude who fused with a great white shark after exposure to nuclear waste.

Finn Hangtime is a very skilled surfer, and can stay on his surfboard for hours at a time. After his mutation, he gained the heightened senses of a shark, such as smell and touch, can breathe underwater, and can even sense a storm coming over the horizon from miles away. When he's not near the ocean, Finn can control any nearby body of water so he can surf on it, and wash out his enemies.

Bio:
Born in San Clemente, California, Finnegan "Finn" Darlington was born and bred for the beach. Every summer, he would always look forward to spending time at the beach with his family, and he would even take surfing lessons since fourth grade. However, the one thing that always interested him about going to the beach was seeing the marine life swim by in the ocean, from sea turtles coming ashore to lay their eggs in the sand to seals coming up to rest on the harbor and the rocks. The creatures that fascinated him the most were sharks, and how most people were afraid of them because of how they were portrayed in many forms of media. He's always found them to be completely misunderstood, and when he graduated from high school, he started to study marine biology in college to learn more about oceanic creatures.
Finn graduated with a master's degree in marine biology, but he decided to spend most of his time honing his surfing skills while being an activist for taking care of the ocean for future generations. Eventually, he was recognized by a sports scout, and asked him if he wanted to surf professionally. At first, he declined the offer, stating that he wasn't the competitive type, but he realized that being a surfer on TV could help him spread the word about taking care of the oceans, and he took the offer. Since then, he went on to win various surfing titles, all while being a marine life activist at the same time. But, during one surfing competition, Finn encountered something that would change his life forever. He drifted too far towards a ship dumping a tankard of radioactive waste, and he tried to steer clear from it, the current swept him towards it, and he got stuck in it.
A great white shark was also swimming towards the waste, thinking Finn was a seal, and it got stuck in it as well. In a matter of seconds, Finn and the shark got their genetic structures fused together, and Finn emerged from the water as a mutated shark with the heightened senses and mobility, as well as the ability to control the water around him. He used this ability to surf back to the shore, and when he arrived, the people had mixed reactions to his new appearance. Some of them thought he looked cool, while others were afraid and taken aback by what happened to him. But Finn decided to not let it bother him, and he decided to use his new look to continue to raise awareness for marine life, as well trying to change people's perspectives on sharks. Little did he suspect that he had a secret admirer that's had his eye on him for a while.
One day, while Finn was at the beach, a siren named Sireena, who has been trying to get him to fall in love with her for quite some time, launched a full-scale assault on the surface world in hopes of making him hers and hers alone. Finn was able to sense this with his shark sense, and he tried to fend off the tidal waves and sea life under Sireena's control after he evacuated everyone on the beach. While he was able to put up a good fight, Finn was overwhelmed by her forces. Luckily for him, a couple of Heroes, Ltd. heroes were vacationing in Southern California at the time, and they showed up to help him fend off Sireena without a second thought. After she was thwarted, Finn told American Eagle, who had just arrived to investigate the sight, about everything that happened to him, and after hearing about his ability to control water, he offered him a position at Heroes, Ltd. Finn accepted the offer, believing that it would be a great way to change the way people think about sharks, and now he works at Heroes, Ltd. as the shark superhero Finn Hangtime.

-Shark skin is difficult to penetrate
-Can swim very fast, and can breathe underwater for a very long time

Weaknesses:
-Has a tendency to get angry due to shark mutation
-Can't control water to surf on if there's no water nearby
-Laid back personality has made him lazy at times
-While fast in the water, he's not as fast on land (but he still moves pretty quickly regardless)
-Has to re-hydrate himself every once in a while
-Has a tendency of losing teeth every time he bites something hard
-Gets annoyed when he gets sand in his clothes (especially his surfing suit)
