Now, here's a superhero I created way back when I was in 7th grade, Kid Nuclear. Funny thing is that when I first conceived him, he looked just like Mr. Arcade. So, fast-forward a few years, and I've decided to give him a much more fitting color pallet, making him look like he came straight out of a nuclear fallout. Oh, and he looks kinda like Cyclops from X-Men, too, but it was mostly coincidence. And I've also made him a secret crush that Princess Tech has, both in school and at Heroes, Ltd.
Name: Ryan C. Wesson
Date of birth: July 30, 2004
Species: Human
Age: 18
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 135 lbs.
Occupation: High school student, busboy at his dad's diner, Heroes, Ltd. employee
Affiliation(s): Heroes, Ltd.
Likes: Action movies, classic rock, learning how to be a superhero, not having to worry about chemical poisoning thanks to his powers, Princess Tech (even though she doesn't know it yet), hanging out with Mr. Arcade, working at his dad's diner, racing video games, and cats (which explains why he likes Shannon so much)
Dislikes: Politics, seeing his fellow heroes being treated horribly, people who tease him about his crush on Princess Tech, asparagus (it makes him feel queasy), Short Circuit, the smell of kerosene, getting grass dew in his shoes in the morning, being couped up in tight spaces, and standing out in the cold too long
Powers & Abilities:
The accident at the nuclear power plant made Kid Nuclear resistant to harmful chemicals and other forms of nuclear waste. He can disintegrate hard substances such as metal, stone, and wood by touching it with his gloves, and he can shoot a blast of nuclear energy from the visor over his eyes. He can fly, too.

Bio:
Before he became Kid Nuclear, Ryan C. Wesson was just an average high school kid from Orlando, Florida, being the son of the owner of a diner located a few blocks from it. After school, he would often come to work for his dad at the diner as a bus boy, often helping him out with busy dinner rushes. Everything seemed pretty normal for Ryan until one day, he and his class took a field trip to a nuclear power plant, and during the tour, one of the nuclear reactors started to act strange. While the class was evacuating, Ryan tripped over an opening in the floor, and fell to the ground. Before his teacher would go back to get him, the reactor exploded, and Ryan was caught in the blast. He was eventually rescued, and after being contained, it was discovered that he had gained the ability to disintegrate hard substances when he touched the metal walls. As a result, he was contained for three weeks, only being let out once he returned to normal. However, even in his more normal state, Ryan still had problems with his new abilities.
Not only did he continue to disintegrate any hard substance, but Ryan was also immune to harmful chemicals, and could blast nuclear energy from his eyes. It didn't faze him, however, as he continued to live a normal life, but he was very careful not to poison someone by complete accident just by touching them. After hearing about the heroics of Princess Tech, unaware that it was someone from school that has a crush on him, Tara Lincoln, Ryan decided to use his new abilities to help the citizens of Orlando as a superhero, even though he didn't know much about how to do it. After making a costume that was resistant to his nuclear powers, Ryan dubbed himself as "Kid Nuclear," and went around Orlando to help citizens with his powers. However, due to his lack of superhero knowledge, he was stumbling a bit, and received mi reception from the public for his actions.
American Eagle and Princess Tech, who were on patrol, ran into Kid Nuclear while he was trying to use his powers to stop a bank robbery, and gave him a hand in thwarting it. They noticed that he was trying to use his powers to help others as a superhero, but was having trouble with his powers. He told them that he was doing it because of Princess Tech, and while she was flattered, she told him that there was more to being a superhero than impressing the opposite sex. So, they took him back to Heroes, Ltd., and ran a full diagnostic on his powers. Kid Nuclear was then taken to Mr. Arcade so he can be trained to control his powers as the other heroes were busy on patrol, and the two of them hit it off very well. Mr. Arcade told him the basics of being a true superhero, and the responsibilities that came with it. Kid Nuclear started to get the picture, and he started to gain better control over his powers. In time, he became a much better hero, but he still held onto his crush on Princess Tech, still not knowing that she's actually his classmate Tara.
Kid Nuclear got his first real superhero assignment when American Eagle got word that Brother Grimskull has sent his henchmen to wreck his dad's diner, and went with the others to stop them without a second thought. Upon arriving at the diner, he fought his first real supervillain, Short Circuit, who was just about to use his electric powers to electrocute his dad. He used his nuclear powers to fight with Short Circuit, which he countered with his electricity, and Kid Nuclear decided to concentrate his disintegration touch into his costume's gloves, and used it to short out the machinery on Short Circuit. Enraged by this, Short Circuit decided to turn up the voltage, and Kid Nuclear quickly dodged by jumping over the bolts. It was there that Kid Nuclear had the ability to fly, and he used it to his advantage when fighting with Short Circuit and the other VillainCo villains. After they were thwarted, Kid Nuclear revealed himself to his dad, and while he was annoyed at first that his son was a superhero, he was still proud and grateful for him for saving him, and allowed him to continue learning under Heroes, Ltd. Since then, Kid Nuclear has become a reliable hero for the company, and is on call to help them out whenever he can.
Strengths:
-Highly resistant to harmful chemicals
-Can disintegrate any substance with his gloves
-Has great leadership skills for his age
-Always willing to look out for people in need
-Gets along very well with his fellow Heroes, Ltd. employees
-Shoots nuclear energy from his visor with pinpoint accuracy
-Has the ability to fly, allowing him to cover more ground while on patrol
Weaknesses:
-Afraid that he might unintentionally poison someone by touching them
-Suffers from claustrophobia, the fear of tight spaces
-Crush on Princess Tech has distracted him at times
-Doesn't have much combat training, often relying on his nuclear powers
-Still doesn't know a whole lot about being a superhero
-Gets aggressive whenever somebody insults him, his friends, or his family
-Doesn't like being in cold environments for very long (even though he's good friends with Frostine)
