Commission for 
Toxic
Toxic wanted his character, Pavel, standing in the middle of a city flattened by a psychic shockwave.
He said I'd get bonus points if the shockwave was still happening. :D
PROCESS NOTES
After I sketch out compositions and select the final one with the client, I usually try and make color thumbnails.
On this one I started trying to sketch out the colors first, but I didn't really find the image until I roughed out the values in black and white.
Two of my least favorite tools are the Color Balance Adjuster and the Hue,Saturation,Value Adjuster. I hate them because I don't like machines helping me out too much. I feel like my process should run as nearly to a traditional artist as possible.
Knowing this, you'll understand how irritated I am that without the computer, I never would have hit on this particular combination of blue, orange, magenta, and green. Thanks computer DX<
