The further adventures of
RoboMattias as Dadbot, who is programmed to Be A Dad.
"But I don't wanna read a good book in front of a warm fire!"
"Father's day, Henry!"
And the day returns full circle.
He read the news today, oh boy. About a lucky man who raised a kid.
And though the robot's rather dad, well, we just have to laugh. He's far too kind by half.
It'll shock you, too the things he used to do on grass.

I have to assume you're aping some song lyrics in your description, but I can't place them.
In any case, this remains very charming.
Although, your 'but I don't want to' line in the desc makes me wonder if some of the point of this is trying to point out that only an automaton would actually make a perfect 'dad' (in this 50s idealism sense), and it's technically not possible for actual mortal, fallible people?

Oh, uh, in order - the Looney Tune "A Bear For Punishment," "A Day In The Life" by the Beatles, and "Grass" by XTC.
It was just a good quote, but honestly? I don't imagine most people in the fifties were having fun. I think most of those guys were just like "No depression, no nazis shooting at me and I can afford a house a million miles away from everyone where my kids have no bad influences, that's all I want is a fucking rest." 1950s smiles are always a little too wide. You thought facebook was bad, try the suburbs.
