Probably an elf, yep. Certainly not the oryx. That hoofer is probably an animal companion for the Ranger. Odd to be on two legs and wearing clothes though. Probably some sort of sneaky elvish scheme to win a bet.

I know a group that has been playing DnD for better than 30 years. They start a new game every few years as it does not take to many years to hit 20th level starting at first level. There is only two original members the couple who has been hosting the game. As the years pass old players leave and new members join. Better than a decade ago I showed interest in joining the game but at that time they where full. A number of years ago I was asked if I would still like to join as my tern to join had come around. I had left the state years earlier and could not play.
