Well, so far as she knows, he's just taken out the trash. It just happens that said trash was her husband.
In a way this is kind of an inversion of the common trope where a 'Cubi finds out that someone they loved (parent, partner) is actually evil - she's just discovered that her spouse wasn't evil. (And is now dead, of course)
