Chapter 5 - They Fight Crime!

Flopsy continues her burgeoning hobby of fighting crime. It's nice to be able to feel like you're making a difference in the world, you know? Unfortunately, Flopsy didn't realize that cameras are a thing that exists, and now there's a picture of her floating around the internet, going very viral. Hm, maybe I should try to commission a version of that to upload as a bonus art? Or maybe the scene from a different angle, since the picture only shows her back. It doesn't even show her hooves, she was already partially over the wall when the flash went off!
Other stuff happens, like Flopsy sells her first gem from the Special Stock! To a cameo of someone who's better known for a love of long tails. Don't worry, he'll be back and playing a major part in the story later. ^_^
We also get a bit of a tease of the villain of this story, Master's murderer. He's a real... what's the opposite of a "gem"? Worry, he'll be back and playing a major part in the story. I tried my best to make him really unlikeable, but we don't get to see much of that yet. Hopefully soon?
Chapter 5 was written some time ago, but I had forgotten to post it. Originally, I was holding off on doing so, because I wanted to "alternate" between Flopsy and Princess, because I didn't want people to think I was giving up on writing Princess. ...but I kinda got broken and wasn't writing at all. Oops! Now I worry people are going to think I've given up on writing Vayryn AND Princess, but that's not the case. I've actually been coming up with some good ideas for Book 3 of Princess, but a couple days ago, I came up with a killer idea for Flopsy Book 2 and now I just can't wait to write it! My brain is totally hooked on Flopsy right now, so I guess I'm stuck writing this for a bit more. Hope that's okay!
As always, I love hearing any comments or questions people have, so feel free! And I've got two more chapters "in reserve", so even if something interrupts me, I'll make sure not to forget to post them this time. Hopefully. ^_^;;
This is the current shortest chapter, and a bit under my normal "target amount", at 4774 words. I have no idea if anyone is actually interested in these kind of word count stats. Do you like them? Find them annoying? Not care one way or the other?

Word stats: This chapter is still the shortest chapter so far, among all three series. The shortest Princess chapter is 5447 (Chapter 20, though it was uploaded as part of "19 and 20", which was 13,169 words, so it might not count. In which case Chapter 27's 5672 words is next in line.) and the shortest Vayryn chapter is 5996 (Chapter 6).
Shortest chapters all told: Flopsy 5 (4774), Flopsy 1 (5124), Flopsy 8 (5234), Princess 20 (5447), Princess 27 (5672), Princess 4 (5738), Flopsy 4 (5758), Flopsy 3 (5765), Flopsy 2 (5847), Flopsy 6 (5887), Princess 34 (5950, bonus: also 34th longest Princess chapter), Vayryn 6 (5996), Princess 6 (6007), Princess 28 (6094), Vayryn 1 (6161), Vayryn 14 (6185)...
Flopsy dominates the shorter chapters for the most part, at least until near the current ones (longest Flopsy is 23 (8955)), with an average of 6797.875 and a median of 6684.5, compared to Princess Avg 7065.474 / Median 6823 and Vayryn Avg 7634.176 / Median 6547. (Vayryn's average being so much higher than Princess's while her median is so much lower is due to Vayryn's average being raised up by a few excessive outliers among the latest chapters. ~_~ )
