no i've no idea what to say other than that.

Actually the ship was inspired by the scenes in the Myazaki animated Epic, Nausicaa, or "Warriors of the Wind" where the gigantic flying ships were chasing each other through the clouds.

jesus, bit of a deviation from your other things... that's really damn cool. I realise the picture itself is rather old, but have you drawn anything else like this? I'd be curious to see more.

You ever consider trying to get into an illustration field?

I hadn't drawn anything with this scale and scope since "The last good day in L.A." image, but I should haul out and finish a few of the pencil sketches I have on similar ideas. To tell you the truth, I did want to follow a career as a "Professional" illustrator like Kelly Freas, Norman Rockwell or John Berkey, but I lost interest in the "Work" soon after graduating from College. I prefer to do my art more as a "Hobby," and that way it has introduced me to a much more appreciative Audience.

That's just incredible... Reminds me of the covers of those sci-fi anthologies that came out in the 30's-60's.
